Q: What do I love most about serving at Grace Lutheran Church?

That’s simple… It’s the people. I’ve always loved interacting with, and helping people since I was a small child. I’ve now been blessed to be a part of Grace Lutheran Church for over 40 years and on staff for nearly 24 years. While every day is different for me in my role as Administrative Assistant at Grace, I always feel like when I leave this place, I have been able to be the hands and feet of Jesus by helping someone with a task, helping someone in need, or just comforting someone who is hurting, and that brings me joy.

I grew up in the tiny town of Sedan, MN, which is 25 miles South and East of Alexandria. (The population was 62 (yes, people) back then, but is now 40). I moved to Minneapolis in 1975 after graduating from Glenwood High School. I immediately began working at Munsingwear, where I worked (mostly in Customer Service) for over 17 years until the company was sold in the early 1990s. I then joined the Grace Staff in 1996. My husband, Doug and I have 3 grown sons, 3 lovely daughters-in-law, and 5 adorable and amazing grandchildren who are the lights of my life.  In my spare time, I love traveling with friends, spending time with my kids and grandkids, and playing card and board games.
