One of the great joys for us at Grace is helping people who are seeking to be married. We celebrate God’s love that brings two people together and leads to a life long commitment to share the challenges, as well as the joys of life. God created marriage as the basic building block of community, and the chief instrument to nurture and grow his love in people’s lives. Therefore, we are committed to helping people build strong God-centered marriages, where families can grow and thrive.

We celebrate that God has led you to the decision to be married. At Grace, we welcome the opportunity to help you in one of the most important moments in your life. In order to be married at Grace it is not necessary that you be a member of our church and/or from a Lutheran background. Grace Lutheran Church would like to make a commitment to partner with you to grow a strong marriage. We feel worshipping with us regularly or being a part of a ministry here can help us grow that partnership.

Premarital Counseling
Couples planning to get married at Grace must participate in Premarital counseling with one of our pastors. Couples will discuss the foundation for building a healthy and lasting marriage relationship. For more information and to schedule your counseling sessions, email Kris Miller  or call her at 763-421-6520 ext 101.

There are 4, 1 hour sessions with a pastor and additional homework to work through together as a couple. The total time you should expect to spend in sessions and on the homework is 12 hours.

Approximately 3 months prior to the wedding, couples will meet with a Wedding Coordinator who will lead the couple through the various steps of planning and preparation for the wedding.

Weddings at Grace cost approximately $500. This cost covers services of: a wedding coordinator, pastor, organist or pianist, sound technicians, and custodians. A deposit of $250 is required to reserve a wedding date. Bulletins may also be produced for an additional charge.

We want to thank you for inquiring about weddings at Grace. We look forward for the opportunity to help you begin your marriage with God’s grace.
