God has created us as a ministry of grace in the heart of Andover and beyond…..
We believe that God…
- Welcomes us into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit;
- Encourages us to grow in our discipleship through worship, learning, and fellowship;
- Equips us to share this ministry of grace and love through serving others; and
- Sends us into the world to do His will.
Welcome, Encourage, Equip and Send – we use these four words to focus and pray for God to work through us as he reaches out to redeem and heal his world. They describe the path of discipleship and how he forms us to be his tools of compassion, love, and forgiveness through his grace in Jesus Christ. We are here for a purpose. We are here for a reason. God is love and he shares his love with the world. He chooses to work through people, called together to be his church of Grace. Therefore we respond in the following ways…we call these our CORE VALUES:
weEquip – The lay and professional leadership at Grace Lutheran Church will focus on equipping, training, and empowering active participants to become involved in ministry based on their spiritual giftedness, while actively replicating themselves as leaders.
weServe – We strive to be known in the local and global community for its ministry of serving needs of others and actively reaching out to those who are unaffiliated, in order to share with them the love of Christ.
Grace Lutheran Church is part of a national church called The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. You can check out the website to learn more about our national church and what are the basic beliefs of Lutherans.
