Rally DayGrace Welcomes Everyone for Rally Weekend
September 12th & 13th

Are you ready to re-connect with friends at Church? Are you eager to start another great year of spiritual growth? Are you all set to “rally” with the rest of the folks at Grace Lutheran Church as we gather for worship, food, games, and fun? If so, please join us for Rally Weekend!

What will Rally Weekend Look Like?

  • First, we will be returning to our regular FALL SCHEDULE with three Sunday worship services. (You can check the back page for the full schedule!)
  • Second, all SONday School students will begin in the Worship Center with their families. We’re planning some fun songs and a special extended Children’s Sermon after which they will be dismissed to meet their teachers and friends. Parents can pick them up after worship in their classrooms.
  • Third, everyone will be invited to stay after the services for some treats, games, fellowship, and some fun with Inflatable Jump Houses outside the church building.
  • Fourth, we’re hoping you will return later for our GOD’S WORK, OUR HANDS Serving Project at 3 p.m.

Come and join us for a great start to our Fall Season!

God’s Work. Our Hands.” Sunday is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.

Our church will be one of nearly 10,000 ELCA congregations participating in “God’s Work. Our Hands.” Sunday on Sept. 13.   Across the country, thousands of ELCA members will engage in service work to make a positive change in their communities, to build and deepen relationships, and to share God’s love. Our service activities offer an opportunity for us to explore one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans: that all of life in Jesus Christ – every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life – flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.

So let’s put our faith – and God’s grace – into action on “God’s Work. Our Hands.” Sunday, Sept. 13 . We’ll meet at Grace at 3 pm for details and directions, then go out to serve in our neighborhood, then return to church for a light supper, ending at 6 pm.

What projects will we do?

  • Plant shrubs in local parks
  • Pick up trash along Bunker Lake Blvd.
  • Visit shut-ins from our congregation
  • Make sandwiches for the homeless in Minneapolis

What should we bring?

  • Bug spray & sun screen
  • Your family & friends
  • Your ‘grace-filled’ hearts & hands!
